We are seeking a results-oriented individual to work as an HR Consultant in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment. One position is available at this time in the St. Louis, MO office.
Essential Functions
- Provide guidance and expertise to a client base in HR-related areas such as employment law compliance, employee relations, leaves of absence/ADA, performance management, etc.
- Advise on and resolve a full range of internal and external customer requests and projects related to multiple areas within HR.
- Develop, revise, and implement HR policies and procedures for a range of clients depending on their scope of needs.
- Assist with developing, coordinating, and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow with processes related to HR for each assigned client.
- Partner with clients to manage HRIS implementations while also maintaining HR systems and compliant employee personnel files.
- Deliver practical solutions to clients including employee relations and performance management, payroll processing, benefit administration including COBRA and billing reconciliation, etc.
- Conduct audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, policies, and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
- Current HR certification designation (either SHRM or HRCI).
- Two to three years of professional-level experience in human resources.
- Experience managing HR functions across multiple states.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated HR experience.
- Demonstrated project management experience will distinguish more sought-after candidates.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
- Effective presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite software tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).
